MADAM LISE THIBAULT - THE ARTIST

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
One might call the former Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, Lise Thibault, to be an artist, or at least a symbol of the arts!
Indeed, although I do not know her personally, I had the opportunity to meet her a few times and there was always a relationship with the arts; be they painters, sculptors and other disciplines. Lise Thibault was a great friend of the artists and she has organized numerous exhibitions and events to help them.
We can therefore conclude that the fall of the Lieutenant Governor is also the loss of a great pillar of the art world as is also the case with Jutra and Cloutier in their respective fall.
All those society torch losses lead to a sad finding! Our leaders can quickly become outcasts but they were useful before becoming bad.
The Gilles Vaillancourt, Guy Turcotte, Jacques Delisle, Vincent Lacroix and others were not unknown fellows in our society. When we met them (before their fall), we called them "sir" and "madam" and they were very respected in the community.
If there is one conclusion, it is that in the future, one should be a little more careful before calling someone: Mister or Madam...

STORY OF BEAVERS

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
There was a time when the beaver was a priceless economic value to the country's development. Today, however, we may wonder if this animal, skilled woodworkers, did not become a dangerous nuisance for our forests near the cottages.
I actually was surprised to find that the beavers friends do not enjoy the same landscape that I and they do not hesitate to cut a tree or two that interest them for their own cottage...
With the upcoming arrival of spring (the beavers season), I may have to become a trapper like at the time of my ancestors!

CHARLES DUTOIT - EL MAESTRO

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
The legend of the great conductor Charles Dutoit is well alive and, if the man will reach 80 years in the fall (October 7, 2016), his musical talent is bigger and beautiful than ever!
Thanks to technology and MEDICI.TV, although many fans of Dutoit could not be present in person in the concert hall (like me), all were able to enjoy on Internet (courtesy of Medici.tv) the first concert of Charles Dutoit with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra since his unfortunate departure in 2002.
The Maestro is in top shape and his joy of connecting again with Montrealers was felt during the concert (FRIDAY FEBRUARY 20, 2016) by his smiles and energy.
Bravoooo! Bravoooo!

GÉRARD DEPARDIEU AND HIS BOOK INNOCENT

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
Everyone knows I'm a fan of Gérard Depardieu who I see as a kind of friend and that I never criticizes his projects, but his latest book is really exceptional!
One could say that the book "INNOCENT" is the sequel to "ÇA C'EST FAIT COMME ÇA" published in 2014.
The new book by Gérard Depardieu is a deep personal reflection on life, world politics, movies, family, religions and even death.
Gerard tells everything: his friendship with Putin who he considers to be an honest politician who works to help his people; disappointment about all career politicians; Americans he considers the most hypocritical of all nations of the earth; his fear of technology for artists and especially cinema; and its religious philosophy and perception of God. He concluded by speaking about his own death but especially his passion for life.
A book that will appeal to everyone and, if you're a true fan of Gerard, the book will become a classic in your library. In my case, INNOCENT complements my collection and I consider it among my favorite books to life!

GREAT VIRTUAL LIBRARY -THE LIBRARY AT NIGHT

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
Although the exhibition is started since last October, I have only visited it last week... (too captivated by Donald Trump...)
We do not see life the same way after seeing the exhibition: "THE LIBRARY AT NIGHT", which runs until next August at the Grande Bibliothèque in Montreal.
The exhibition technology is simple and is almost entirely based on the use of an iPhone inserted in a helmet and a specially designed app for viewing in 3D. One can compare this project with the recent one by the New York Times (Virtual Reality) and the cardboard helmet distributed to subscribers.
The choice of ten libraries presented in the Montreal exhibition was a bit disappointing because I would have added two or three one more important, but the virtual appearance and play touched me a lot, if not deeply. If I were to show producer or director of a museum, I would worry about the future because nothing will be material in a few years.
An exhibition that must be seen!

DONALD TRUMP TAKES MOMENTUM TO AMERICAN PRESIDENCY

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
Donald Trump won by "knock out" the Republican presidential primary in New Hampshire Tuesday, February 9, 2016 posting its first win of the 2016 campaign and leaving the other candidates for the Republican leadership completely losing momentum.
The billionaire businessman has received 34% of the vote, more than double its nearest competitor, enabling it to regain the momentum of victory to a possible US presidency in November. Trump had obtained a second place in the Iowa caucuses, which many saw as a defeat.
Donald Trump has totally dominated the Republican presidential hopefuls in popular surveys since the summer of 2015 through the strength of its unique style and its ability to position itself in the media.
Personally, I support Donald Trump which I know since the 1980s when I was a follower of the theories presented by Trump in his various books, including THE ART OF THE DEAL. Although I am not a devout practicing Catholic, I wanted to put the odds on the side of my candidate and I recently lit a candle (a large one at $ 5) during a visit to the Queen Mary Cathedral in Montreal. I also had my Trump cap blessed and because of this, in a sense, we can say that this is now a "holy cap"...
The race for the Republican leadership will officially be decided at the Convention of next July 18, and then lead to the presidential campaign and the election of November 8, 2016.
To be continued...

By Bernard Bujold -
Celine Dion has gathered several friends of Rene Angelil Wednesday, February 3, 2016 in Las Vegas for a last tribute to the man who was at the center of the music industry and entertainment worldwide.
The ceremony was available live on the Internet.
Several celebrities have spoken like Mitch Garber of Cirque du Soleil and David Foster who also sang a song he wrote and that is the message that Rene would has said to Celine to express his love to her.
The evening ended with an account of personal anecdotes told by Céline Dion.
Photos of the event are screenshots (Bernard Bujold).
