NATHALIE SIMARD AND GUY CLOUTIER - THE POWER OF DESTINY...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
I read the new book by Nathalie Simard "LES CHEMINS DE MA LIBERTÉ" which brings back to the forefront the tragic history of sexual abuse of Nathalie by her manager Guy Cloutier.
I met Nathalie only once on the publication of her first book written by my friend Michel Vastel but I knew Guy Cloutier well while I was involved in the Quebec music industry through my role at Quebecor. (Pierre Peladeau father hated Guy Cloutier and he even banned him from publication in its various magazines...)
This tragedy of Nathalie Simard is not unique and is similar in a way to the other even darker event of the Quebec renowned coach skiing, Bertrand Charest, who was recently arrested and charged with sexual assault on eight female athletes. The proceedings against him dating back to the 90s and were committed over several years, while the victims were minors.
Nathalie's new book tells in detail about Guy Cloutier aggression towards her and we can only be appalled by these abuses.
What is very sad about this story is that the destiny of Nathalie was destroyed by the actions of her manager to whom she trusted when she was 11 years old. One may wonder what would have been the fate of Nathalie Simard now 45 years old if Guy Cloutier did not abused her? Would she have become a big star as Véronique Cloutier with a magazine, broadcasts programs, family and fame? What would have become of Veronique if she had been sexually abused by her father or her manager?
However, the most horrifying of all this is not, Nathalie's fate which is unfortunate but ultimately it will have destroyed the lives of only two people: Nathalie Simard and Guy Cloutier. No, the most terrifying about this type of event is that there are hundreds of other similar cases.
How many fates and destiny that could have been beautiful life but which have become or will become hell?
The interview Nathalie Petrowski sums up the situation very well.

FUTURE SHOP IS CLOSING ITS STORES...

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
My favorite store closed its stores as announced to employees this Saturday, March 28, 2015! The closure was in effect immediately and definitively.
The company will retain its banners Best Buy and some Future Shop stores will become Best Buy, like the one of St. Catherine Street in Montreal which will reopen on April 4, but others will disappear completely. A total surprise!
My passion for technology arose in this store and that's where I bought my first computer... Since last year, stores had, however, taken the shape of a kind of "hospice" and the inventory was at its lowest. It had also started selling furniture, coffee makers, etc. You could feel a sort of early end at the sale of technology devices and this is what just happened! Another page of history that turns.
Goodbye dear friend...

Today is Friday, March 20 and its is a big day for the new spring 2015.
We welcome him despite it will have to share space with the winter, which has not packed his bags yet...  But do not worry for the delay because the bikes are ready for the season, even if the tracks will have to wait a few days.
Happy spring 2015, to everyone, and may all your "spring projects" come true...

CELINE DION ANNOUNCES THE DISMISSAL OF HER MUSICIANS

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
This is the end of an era for Celine Dion as she thanked her musical leader for 28 years, Mego (Claude Lemay) and three other longtime musicians in addition to close the Toronto office.
The new manager of Celine, Aldo Giampaolo, claims that we want to rejuvenate the team and that Celine will return to show but there are also reasons to believe that this is the end of the working career of Celine since no specific date is mentioned for her returns.
It will be recalled that a few months ago, in June of last year, a rumor had circulated on this subject, including the departure of Mego and his orchestra, but Celine office and Mego had both stated that it was false...
One will have to wait about Celine's career but, for the moment, the rumor about the end of Mego is indeed confirmed...

THE LAW OF THE JUNGLE IN MONTREAL METRO

By Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1) -
We often say that the big city is a jungle! The proof was made again in the Montreal subway last year (2014) when a passenger was dying on the ground and about forty persons by foot went near him, looking at him, but no one offered assistance or made an emergency call.
The police thought for a moment to lay charges because the law requires a citizen to help someone in danger but eventually the police did not do anything because there is no law forcing people from the crowd to be human...
Conclusion: be careful if you go for a walk in the city because it is the law of the jungle!
