The future of CBC...

The departure of Sylvain Lafrance from Radio-Canada draws attention to the Government Corporation and many wonder why this departure.
It should be added that several other pillars of Radio-Canada also recently announced their retirement from the host star Christiane Charette or the renowned and highly appreciated reporter that was Daniel Lessard.
Some say Harper's intentions to privatize the corporation would be the trigger.
The prime minister does not hide his desire to diminish the role of government in financing public institutions like the CBC.
Stay tuned!

Dominique Strauss-Khan and his defense...

Reading the police reports summarizing the arrest of Dominique Strauss-Khan is particularly illuminating.
The police did not suggest to Strauss Khan to contact his lawyer immediatly but only five hours after his arrest ...
According to outside lawyers, it becomes more than clear that the U.S. will not have it easy in their efforts to have Strauss-Khan convicted.

Sex dropped another American politician: Anthony D. Weiner.

Democratic U.S. representative, Anthony D. Weiner (46 years) had everything in life with a brilliant political career and a wife which was the direct assistant to Hillary Clinton.
He lost everything because of photos posted on Twitter and he had to resign from his position as the House of Representatives.

Surprise and disappointment for many radio listeners at Radio-Canada ...

It's surprise and disappointment for many radio listeners at Radio-Canada who were hoping that a star would replace the animator Christiane Charette in the time slot for the fall programming.
Finally, Radio Canada has not engaged a star and it will be featuring a cultural columnist, Catherine Perrin, who will take over the program...
The budgets of the CBC are probably tight!

Story about the Grand Prix F1 of Canada 2011...

Grand Prix F1 of Canada finally took place despite heavy rain and the race was won, surprisingly, during the final turn by Jenson Button on McLaren.
The event 2011 has brought back the memories of a former Grand Prix to Bernard Bujold (LeStudio1.com).
"Years ago, I invited a celebrity from Quebec with me to F1 Grand Prix. It was a blazing sun and the girl was there in high heels and no hat. She did not really like her day or her sunburn...
In 2011, I watched the Grand Prix in front of the TV and I saw my "date" in the VIP galleries. She was with the organizer and she wore a beautiful hat for the sun. The problem is that it rained a deluge and boots would have been more helpful!
The time sometimes changes the order of things, but ultimately, it is often a repetition of the past! My old date was not more fortunate with a new companion at her side than she had been in my company.
With me it was a sun too hot and with her new date, it was the rain!
You could say that she is not lucky or that she has no sense of timing. ... "

The rich woman and music and the conductor without money .....

Jacqueline Desmarais is married to Paul Desmarais, one of the richest men in the world. The wife has a passion for music and she is very generous to the artists of the opera.
In another world, the musicians of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra want more money in their salary and they have asked the Quebec government to appoint a mediator.
Will the conflict be as severe as the one of 2004-2005 when the musicians had almost caused the final end of the activities of the Symphony Orchestra and its dissolution?
