Conrad Black is back...

Conrad Black recounts his experience in prison in The National Post this Saturday (July 31, 2010). The theme of his text: "Anyone, regardless of who he is, may be wronged by the authorities! " A must reading text from a former media baron who has not lost his courage and his warrior spirit! A great Canadian whose toughness before the obstacle is an inspiring example!

The book which explains the human life...

This Sunday on Radio-Canada, Joselito Michaud and his show "On prend toujours un train pour la vie" will be receiving the author KIM THUY who will talk about her book and her journey as a Vietnamese refugee. The 145 pages book published at the end of 2009 is shocking and it succeeds to express what are the difference between peoples in the world. A book that makes us understand that ultimately, there is no difference between humans, except for the artificial culture of the time and place...
A book to read and a tv show to watch! Sunday 1st August at 9:00 p.m. - CBC

The humiliation of France on the Internet...

The failure of the French government and its website to promote tourism will cost him dearly in terms of its reputation with the technology. The website has been online a few hours before crashing to only 25,000 visitors ... Poor planning of servers that even amateurs could easily have better organized.
Nicolas Sarkozy should have called one of his former managers now retired, Jacqueline Dillmann Faure (former Director Office of France in Canada). The site FRANCE.fr would have been a success... A great success!

The website of the hour: WIKILEAKS...

The website that revolutionizes the freedom of information is undoubtedly Wikileaks and its founder Julian Assange. Born in Australia in 1971 (39 years), Assange is both a journalist and hacker. The server of his site is located in Sweden and its operates incognito from Europe. Governments around the world, including the United States, fear the publication of their secret documents. Wikileaks has received over $ 650,000 in donation from the public in 2009.

Memories of Cirque du Soleil...

The circus arts are very ephemeral! The colors of the costumes and tent invade the city then suddenly it's gone to elsewhere. The Old Montreal has hosted since the spring 2010 the troupe of Cirque du Soleil but now it has left Montreal for Quebec City.
On the site, a wide circle replaced the blue and yellow tent and gulls have taken over the show ...

Conrad Black freed from prison...

Conrad Black has never given up his fight against the American Justice and he finally got the win being freed from prison.
The creator of LeStudio1.com, Bernard Bujold, has always been very respectful for this press baron: "I am particularly happy for Conrad Black. I know the value of this man and all the good he has done for journalism, especially the creation of the National Post in Toronto. Conrad Black is a great press tycoon whose courage to never abandon the defense of his personal beliefs is an example to follow. Bravo to you, Conrad Black! "

The future of newspapers...

A book to read by every journalist from La Presse, Le Devoir or Le Journal de Montreal! Conclusion of the book: A newspaper is solid as that its "financial backer" remains interested in the newspaper. Otherwise, death and permanent loss regardless of size or the scope of the publication.

Sidewalk Sales on Ste-Catherine St. in Montreal...

Paul Delage Roberge would be proud of Ste-Catherine St., him "the creator" of Ailes de la Mode (original version) and one of the new promoters of store Ogilvy. Despite the rain on Saturday evening on Montreal, the sun was at the rendez-vous Saturday and Sunday (17 and 18 July) for the merchants of the Ste-Catherine St. who held their annual sidewalk sale offering 50% discount.
But beware! Some dealers did not offer big discounts ...
Bernard Bujold wanted to try to get it from Louis Vuitton and it did not worked out ...
Vive le shopping!

Halle Berry in Old Montreal...

The creator of LeStudio1.com, Bernard Bujold, walked quietly into the Old Montreal around 7:30 p.m. (Thursday 15 July 2010) when a young girl and her two girlfriends have stopped him asking for instructions on street parking. The girl looked very much like Halle Berry!
"I've dreamed of her all night, and even this morning! Unfortunately, I did not even asked her name and I probably never shall see her again. After my explanation about parking, the mysterious girl told me in a voice very European: Thanks for the information and goodbye ... "- Bernard Bujold

John Gomery have no toys...

John Gomery will not play with Quebecor's toys ...
If the former Judge Gomery was the ultimate owner of the toys during the committee investigation and if he could dictate the game, it is clear he has no power in the media world. In a sense, the failure to obtain an appointment with Quebecor's president is also his personal failure. The Press Council would have been better served by an ex-journalist as Lise Bissonnette, Michel Roy or Jean Pare, rather than an ex-judge.

Roman Polanski is free to go...

Roman Polanski will not be extradited to the United States. It seems that the request for extradition contained a flaw and the U.S. did not want to correct this fault ... (Everyone saves face). Double Justice? Probably because Polanski is not a person without political support, particularly in France ...

Summer love... or love of on a balcony!

The summer season is the mating season and picnics on the grass (or on the roofs).
One of the disadvantages of urban life, however, is having to share with its neighboring the parks and some of our privacy. And we can sometimes not help eavesdropping on our neighbors and their efforts to get love, at the risk of acting like an old gossip...
This was my case during the recent weekend when I found myself spy my buiding neighbourg who was trying to seduce a new acquaintance that he had invited on the residents shared balcony (very bad action to start the conquest because he was not alone with the girl ...). He also made other mistakes as well as to bring the lady on the roof with her glass of wine in her hand. He should have taken up the bottle with a cork shooting and carry himself the two empty glasses. He had also brought a box of cashew to accompany the wine... The girl asked him how it had calorie and she only took one, the boy ate the rest by himself. A good seducer would have brought little fresh grapes (preferably red). Another error, the suitor has to go back down to get the rest of the bottle of wine to his apartment and he had to leave the girl alone on the roof for at least 5 long minutes.
Result at the end of the afternoon: he was able to stole a little kiss very fast on the mouth but at the second attempt, she submitted her forehead. (Very bad sign ...) Final Conclusion: The girl started playing with her iPhone!

The best restaurant in town...

The chef-owner of the best Montreal restaurant THE LATINI, Moreno De Marchi, grants a rare interview in the newspaper La Presse and there he reveals many of her favorite and secret recipes...

Biting the hand of his friends ... or steal bread!

One can easily say that the spouse of the Governor General of Canada Michaelle Jean is like the dog who would bite the hand of his old friends. Jean-Daniel Lafond gave an devastating interview in L'Express of Paris and several of his former friends describe him as a Quebec nationalist traitor ... Between the treachery of Lafond and accusations of theft against the former Lieutenant Governor Lise Thibault called a thief of bread, one must recognize that the Queen's representatives in Canada are not very discrete ...

Canada Day 2010 Country Style...

Many critics Jean Chretien and Paul Martin but we must recognize that they both knew how to make beautiful Canada Day Celebrations. Or Stephen Harper has kept all the money to receive the Queen in Ottawa, or he does not like to spend to celebrate... We cannot say that Canada Day 2010 on the Quays of the Old Port in Montreal was exaggerated. The program was line dancing! However in Ottawa: good cakes, tea, flowers, nice parades and people well dressed with many beautiful hats ...
